The price of vineyards in Lot (the South-West) in 2025

Based on the French DVF land-transaction register, 41 vineyard sales were recorded in Lot between 2020 and 2025. The median price stands at €10,000/ha and the average at €11,341/ha. The median price, less affected by extreme values than the average, is the most reliable benchmark for valuing a vineyard in this area.

From 2021 to 2025, the median price fell by 32%, moving from €11,186/ha to €7,556/ha.

Prices observed run from €5,000/ha for the most modest plots to €25,873/ha for the most sought-after properties. Appellation, terroir quality and the condition of the plantings explain most of these gaps.

The Cahors appellation commands the highest values (an average of €7,500/ha), while Coteaux du Quercy remains the most affordable (€6,000/ha). On average, across all appellations, SAFER values the department's vineyards at €7,400/ha.
