Over 2020-2025, DVF data (the French land-transaction register) records 391 vineyard sales in Drôme, with a median price of €18,857/ha and an average price of €29,131/ha. The median price — half of all sales take place below it, half above — gives a better picture of the everyday market than the average, which is pulled upwards by a handful of exceptional deals.

Between 2020 and 2025, the median price fell by 18% (€19,924/ha → €16,308/ha). The average price followed a different path (it rose by 11% over the same period), a sign of a heterogeneous market where a few large sales weigh heavily on the average.
Prices observed run from €5,817/ha for the most modest plots to €170,409/ha for the most sought-after properties. Appellation, terroir quality and the condition of the plantings explain most of these gaps.

The Crozes-Hermitage appellation commands the highest values (an average of €155,000/ha), while Appellations du Diois remains the most affordable (€13,000/ha). On average, across all appellations, SAFER values the department's vineyards at €37,500/ha.
