On the doorstep of Paris, a wedding venue for sale in Hauts-de-Seine (92) serves a mainly corporate market: headquarters in La Défense, Issy-les-Moulineaux and Boulogne-Billancourt, agencies and conference organisers. Families also look here for a wedding venue within reach by public transport. The département keeps some rare green settings: the Saint-Cloud national estate, the Parc de Sceaux, the château of Malmaison in Rueil, the Meudon forest, the Vallée-aux-Loups and the Seine riverbanks.
Event venues here are mostly urban: townhouses, villas with gardens, converted workshops and industrial buildings, riverside halls. Estates with grounds are very scarce, so comparing with the west of the Paris region makes sense. This page is for buyers and investors considering an event venue close to Paris, and for operators preparing a sale.

The type of municipality matters: across sales from mid-2020 to 2025, the median ranges from €250,000 (tourist inland) to €289,000 (peri-urban countryside). For a tourism business, coastal and tourist-inland municipalities are the relevant benchmark.

With too few sales in the département, the benchmark is regional: large houses in Île-de-France sold for a median €1,263,100 over 2021-2025, and €1,445,000 in 2025 (still an indicative figure). In Hauts-de-Seine, however, a venue often trades as business premises or as a fonds de commerce (a going concern), so its value depends on the lease, the authorised capacity and turnover more than on floor area. Country houses, at a €280,000 regional median in 2025, belong to another market; the nearest rural départements, Yvelines (€346,650) and Val-d'Oise (€333,000), give the scale.
In the north, La Défense, Courbevoie, Puteaux and Nanterre are the core seminar and corporate-party market, while the riverbanks of Levallois, Neuilly and Suresnes draw private receptions. In the centre, Boulogne-Billancourt, Issy-les-Moulineaux and Sèvres mix offices, riverside and converted industrial heritage. In the south, Meudon, Sceaux, Châtenay-Malabry and Antony are more residential, with older houses and gardens suited to weddings but sensitive to neighbours. RER lines A, B and C, Transilien trains, trams, the metro, the A13 and A86 all serve the area; parking is the usual weak point.
In a dense area, neighbours come first: amplified music calls for a noise impact study, and soundproofing often decides whether the business can continue. The hall is an ERP (établissement recevant du public) of type L, with capacity calculated under ERP rules and the safety commission's opinion required. In a co-owned building, check that the building regulations allow the activity. Serving alcohol needs a suitable licence and an operating permit. The Seine banks are flood-prone and several southern towns sit above old quarries. Before committing, see our guide to buying a reception venue and our white papers (both in French).
Properties with parkland are very rare and seldom change hands. Couples who want a garden look to older houses in the south of the département, or to estates in Yvelines and Seine-et-Marne. An email alert lets you react as soon as a property appears.
You can acquire the property, conveyed by a notaire (the public officer who handles French property sales); take over the fonds de commerce with its existing commercial lease; or buy both. If you only take the business, check the lease term, the permitted use and the rent, and ask an accountant to review the figures.
Ask for recent accounts, the bookings diary, the safety commission report, the acoustic study, the licence status and the mandatory surveys, then estimate purchase costs with our notary fees calculator (in French) before the compromis de vente (preliminary contract).
