Based on the French DVF land-transaction register, 26 vineyard sales were recorded in Lot-et-Garonne between 2020 and 2025. The median price stands at €9,862/ha and the average at €10,619/ha. Unlike the average price, which is sensitive to exceptional sales, the median splits the market in two and better reflects typical transactions.

Between 2020 and 2025, the median price fell by 14% (€11,581/ha → €9,964/ha). With only 26 sales recorded over six years, these figures should be read with caution: a single atypical transaction can significantly shift the annual statistics.
Prices observed run from €4,776/ha for the most modest plots to €23,280/ha for the most sought-after properties. Appellation, terroir quality and the condition of the plantings explain most of these gaps.
Every year, SAFER (the French rural land agency) publishes the market value of vineyards by appellation. Here are the 2025 references:
Appellation | Average price 2025 (€/ha) | Price range 2025 (€/ha) | 1-year change |
Buzet | 6,500 | — | -19 % |
Côtes de Duras | 7,500 | 6,500 – 8,000 | -6 % |
Côtes du Marmandais | 7,500 | 6,500 – 8,000 | -25 % |

The appellation hierarchy is pronounced: from an average of €6,500/ha for Buzet up to €7,500/ha for Côtes de Duras. On average, across all appellations, SAFER values the department's vineyards at €7,000/ha.
