Large homes in the Aude sold for a median €613,100 over 2021-2025, an indicative figure slightly below the regional median (€640,000). A venue sits above that base once it adds compliant halls, bedrooms and a business. The country house median of €210,000 in 2025 hides a wide gap between tourist coastal areas (€286,500 over 2020-2025, down 12.6%) and tourist inland areas (€162,850): an estate in the Corbières or the upper valley costs far less than one near Gruissan or Leucate.
The Carcassonne area and the Lauragais around Castelnaudary have the A61 motorway and Carcassonne station, the most practical choice for a venue also aiming at corporate events. To the north, the Minervois and Cabardès sit against the Montagne Noire, among vines and garrigue (Mediterranean scrubland). The Narbonne area and the coast, from Gruissan to Leucate, draw many summer visitors, but land costs more and the loi Littoral (coastal planning law) limits extensions.
In the south, the Corbières, the Razès and the upper Aude valley around Limoux and Quillan offer space, abbeys such as Lagrasse and hilltop castles at lower prices. Carcassonne, Toulouse and Perpignan airports, Narbonne and Carcassonne stations and the A9 and A61 bring guests in; the more remote a venue, the more its on-site rooms matter.

The Aude is exposed to Mediterranean storms that cause flash floods on the Aude, the Orbieu and their tributaries, so check the local flood risk plans. The Corbières and garrigue hills are prone to wildfires, and the tramontane wind calls for sturdy outdoor structures.
